(QR/RC-47FSLP) Slotted Bath Chambers

The QR/RC-47FSLP chambers use a 25 mm round coverslip in a slotted bath design to provide rapid solution exchange. The chamber also has two 11.5 mm height sections for the leads from its PT wire electrodes and its perfusion and aspiration ports.

The low volume of this slotted bath chamber supports the natural laminar flow while allowing the rapid exchange of solution, which in turn facilitates drug application studies while minimizing disturbance of attached cells. This chamber is supplied with one box of #1.5 thickness 25 mm coverslips and spare O-rings.

The QR/RC-47FSLP chamber includes a pair of platinum wires epoxied onto the parallel sides of the oval shaped bath. The connecting wires are terminated in 1 mm pins. This model includes a perfusion inlet port and a 16 gauge adjustable suction tube. An agar bridge well has been added to accommodate a bath ground electrode. Additionally the QR/RC-47FSLP is also supplied with 10 feet of PE-160 polyethylene tubing. Electric field stimulation is achieved by use of the optional STG Stimulus Isolation Unit.

Series 40 chambers are designed to be compatible with Warner's QE-1 Quick Exchange Platform and DH-35iL and DH-40iL culture dish incubators which are compatible with Warner Series 20 microscope stage adapters.

A temperature controller TC-344C or TC-324C that connects to the heated platform QE-1 or the microincubators DH-35iL and DH-40iLcan be added to set and maintain a certain temperature.

Chambers are supplied with one box of #1.5 thickness, 25 mm coverslips and spare o-rings.
